What is Sprout?
Sprout is a small social media site without an algorithm. It revolves around a global feed showing the newest posts, which can be replied to, bloomed (Sprout's equivalent to likes), quoted and more. Users can curate their feed to only show friends, posts tagged with their interests or make their own private feed. Additionally, Sprout profiles, known as canvases, are extremely customisable letting users express themselves broadly, share music, movies. Engaging with others unlocks perks such as a drawing board on your profile your friends can use! Sprout is always being developed (without AI) and is focused around the community. It features no ads, is funded by its own community.
Sprout can be used through desktop, iOS and Android.

What is Sprout Sites?
Sites is a feature on Sprout which allows users to set up their own websites at a sproutling.site domain, similar to hosts like Neocities or Nekoweb! Sprout provides each user 10GB of storage for free with an extra 100GB for every dollar donated. Unlike Sprout's social media aspect, sproutling sites can be accessed by anyone on the web like a regular website.



Before applying to the webring, please read the following rules:

1) You must have a Sprout account. It's a Sprout webring after all. If you join and end up no longer using Sprout, you're free to stay. Getting banned from Sprout will ban you from this webring.

2) Hand-coded websites only. Sproutling, Neocities, Nekoweb, self-hosted etc. are welcome! Carrds, strawpages, sprouts and rentries are not eligible. If you're unclear whether your site qualifies, please reach out.

3) Sites can have mature themes but no explicitly 18+ themes.

4) Have the webring link somewhere on your website.

If you are unsure about any of these rules, please don't hesitate to reach out. Do note that it is not at all selective, you do not need to have the webring creators added, you can come as you are!

x How to Add
In order to add the webring to your website, all you need to do is copy the code wherever you'd like it to go. No javascript involved on your end! It's also customisable so if you'd like it to fit your websites theme you can easily change the image link and it will still work as the previous, next and random links remain unchanged
